Hello, humans. I thought I'd do a very casual outfit of the day picture. This is actually an outfit I wore last weekend on a day out to the plaza on a mother daughter outing with my roommate and our mums! Excuse the odd lighting. I'll do better next time.
As many of you may know, today is the 10th anniversary of the world's greatest movie (in my humble opinion), Mean Girls. Honestly, it completely freaks me out that I was 10 years old when I first understood what if meant to be personally victimized by Regina George. But I'm better for it now. I had nearly every line memorized before I even entered high school. Lets face it, that's the only way I made friends. Anyhow, in order to celebrate properly, I had to wear pink in honor of those four girls and the struggles they went through trying to get through Jingle Bell Rock with an extra person.
So it has been nearly a month since I last wrote a blog post. It has been the craziest month- I was sick for a solid three weeks of it and last week was super duper stressful as I tried to catch myself up. I'm still not there yet. Yikes. Anyhow, I thought I'd do a post to give you guys your own little catch up of all the things that have happened outside of the illnesses I contracted..
I volunteered at Kansas City Fashion Week. To be honest, I don't know anyone in this photo but they were such nice people. I'm always up to make random friends.
I stayed at the lake for a few days with my grandparents. They're the greatest people in the world. We had a lot of lovely adventures.
I went to the world's most darling teahouse with my mom and grandma. It was the best day. Plus we did a lot of shopping. A. Lot. I have got lots of posts in my head, so be prepared!
I went to visit my very good friend in St. Louis. You might know we didn't get any photos together. But above and below are two of the pictures I did get of the weekend. You might remember my friends Katelyn, Sophia, and Rachel from an earlier post on friendship.
On a sad note, my family dog, April, passed away after 12 years in my family. She was an angel and she will always be remembered for the loving puppy she has always been.
Buuuuut my parents got a new puppy. His name is Walter. I haven't met him yet but I hear he is a sweetheart.
And I got to spend some time with some friends from school. This is my friend Marissa. She is a fashion major too. We took this completely casual and candid photo together. I SWEAR. In this picture I am wearing a kimono and jumpsuit I found on an excursion to Marshalls. I'm obsessed with the combo, honestly. I love the jumpsuit phenomenon and I'm always ready for a fringe kimono so the combination is just a dream.
And that is about the full update on the last month of my life. I hope to be more on top of things from now on.
So most people spent their spring breaks at Panama City Beach doing normal college things. Not me. As I'm never one to follow the crowd, I decided to go to the Lake of the Ozarks for spring break. I had some lovely adventures, relaxed a lot, and shopped. A lot. Also ate desserts. So. Many. Desserts. NO RAGRETS. (I also watched We Are The Millers and have been quoting it nonstop ever since). Anyhow, this was my absolute favorite day of lake adventures. I'll probably do a full post about some of my adventures at the lake later on this week so keep an eye out for that! Anyhow, I'm becoming addicted to daisies (both patterns and plants). I bought 2 daisy dresses AND this crop tee. OOPS. It is a flower that just screams "Spring is here! Spring is here!"
Meet Rudalfo. Rudolpho? That seems more correct. We call him Rudy. He is the most adorable devil in the world. So sweet until he bites your friend's leg and tears their clothes. Watch out.
THE LAKE IS ALIVE WITH THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
I got scared after sitting here for a while because I saw a snake here once. So I ran away. Yikes.
Guys, the good weather is almost here and I could not be more excited. The day I took these photos it was so rainy and we wound up having a "snow day" because the ice was so thick. I do honestly love the winter, but I'm so thrilled for some bright and shining days in my future. I've been waiting a long time to post these pictures because they are just a bit gloomy. I'm going to try to get some happy exciting spring time ones this week. Be on the look out, humans.
So yesterday was flannel Friday. These are some more friends. We decided we should probably go all out for such a great day. It really was so beautiful outside, I couldn't just enjoy it alone. So we got together, took some photos and basically pretended we were all a lot less gooby than we actually are. Basically we just stood there awkwardly as a random and kind acquaintance (stranger to me) took 2774375857585749 pictures. Jokes for days.
SERIOUSLY THE PAPARAZZI NEEDS TO STOP FOLLOWING ME SO INCONVENIENT
What's that? Normal humans standing normally? That's different.
Are you familiar with the days where you just are too tired to get out of bed? That's been every day for me. I think I'm developing sleep apnea or something because I've woken up at 3am the past three days and just can't seem to get back to sleep after that. My mind just starts running and I can't stop it. With this, I've taken to wearing a lot of leggings and fashion sweatpants (that's never going to be a phrase I'm comfortable with). This is basically my go to "I'm really not actually ready for the world but I'm still going to try" look.
